The women’s committee is made of up Local Lodge 388 sisters who are here to support all union brothers and sisters, the community, and each other.
A minimum of four times a year, the women’s committee engages in a community event such as (but not limited to):
- Donations collections to community drives (ie domestic violence and homeless shelters, and clothing drive centers)
- Volunteer work
- Fundraising
The women’s committee meets on the second Monday of each month at a different location. They us WhatsApp to communicate to one another, and are able to connect for conference calls and share documents as needed.
The committee is inviting all Union women to join them in making a difference in our union, community, and work place. In Solidarity, everyone achieves more!!!

2022 EVENTS
- Jan 29th – Volunteered work at Quad City Storm Game. Worked various booths; Concourse booth, Jersey raffles, Guide Dogs of America, Chuck-a-Puck, and 50-50 raffle.
Upcoming events (dates TBD)
- Hygiene / cleaning supplies drive
- Community Center Drive
- Moline / Rock Island event – Down Syndrome Resources (possible fundraiser)
- Pennies Fundraiser
Also looking into a summer event at either Duck Creek Park, or West Lake Park for a union outing.
